![]() This acts as a sort of cellular wifi router that boosts the signal inside the room(s) it is in and sometimes beside. This would be an excellent kit for someone new to these type of installsBoost is great for 2 of my small rooms. The install is made very easy with their instructions and their labeling is awesome. You have to find a good place for the outside antenna, probably drill a hole to run the wire into the house, find a place for the antenna inside to distribute the signal, power it up, etc. 2 bars seems to give the best performance on average.Pros:My speeds go from about 6Mbps down to about 35Mbps with this kit installed (on par with a much more costly kit)My upload speeds fare even better under this kit as they jumped up to over 40 Mbps (weird how that works but I think it has to do with the fact the upstream is less congested than downstream)The install was almost exactly like all the other ones that I have done. If you have 1 bar of signal outside, you will still notice a good size boost. It is totally worth it in my humble opinion.A very, very important statement about all cell boosters is that there MUST be a cell signal outside for them to boost it inside. This kit does an awesome job with each but a kit like this is an investment and does take some patience and willingness to drill a hole or so. I could make the TMobile boost better but I would have to play with the antenna and I don't use TMobile often but rely on AT&T and Verizon. The good news is that it boosts EVERYTHING for me including voice and cell internet for at least AT&T, Verizon, Boost (Sprint), and to a lesser extent, TMobile. The only downside between that one and this one is that I get more of a full house boost from the more expensive one whereas I get a good 2 room boost with this kit. This particular booster has proven itself very valuable and in line with one that goes for literally about double what this is listed at. Without using a booster like this, I get about 6 Mbps down and about 2 Mbps upload but with a booster it gets up to (and sometimes over) 45 Mbps down and up. All of my internet comes from a sort of fixed wireless (cellular). ![]() I am not sure why but I have a kind of thing for cell phone boosters.I am always trying to find the best one out there because where I live, I have no access to traditional broadband internet. ![]()
